• Origin in Shadespire: The Twisted Branch has an unusual origin story. Their souls were once trapped within pots in the cursed city of Shadespire. They were only freed and able to grow into their current form when the Necroquake, a massive magical event, unleashed enough energy to release them.
• Sacred Mission: Since their liberation, the unit has dedicated itself to a specific and vital mission: to cleanse the surrounding lands of Nurgle's insidious corruption and to restore the vitality of the land through powerful life magic.
• Unconventional Arrival: The Spite-Revenants, which make up a significant portion of the unit, are drawn to the "angry tones" within the Spirit Song during times of war. This means that The Twisted Branch often appears as a seemingly mercenary force, showing up wherever their Grove faces threats, whether officially requested or not.
