Origin and Design: The Gladiator was conceived by Belisarius Cawl as part of his ongoing efforts to equip the Primaris Marines with a comprehensive range of advanced war machines. Built upon the robust chassis of the Impulsor transport, the Gladiator sacrifices troop-carrying capacity to make room for its extensive weapon systems and sophisticated targeting cogitators. It utilizes Repulsor Field anti-gravity technology, granting it high mobility and the ability to traverse diverse and challenging terrain, including watercourses, marshes, and even lava flows, with ease. While Space Marine Chapters are capable of producing much of their own wargear, complex vehicles like the Gladiator rely heavily on the advanced forges of Mars and the expertise of the Adeptus Mechanicus, allowing for autonomous operations and precise firepower delivery.

Variants and Armament: The Gladiator comes in three distinct variants, each tailored for a specific tactical role:

• Gladiator Valiant: This variant is a close-range assault tank, armed with powerful twin las-talons for devastating anti-armor capabilities and multi-meltas. It excels at escorting transports, supporting infantry advances, and directly targeting monstrous creatures and enemy vehicles. Its "Ferocious Assault" ability often grants enhanced hit rolls in close engagements.
