These automated mechanoids serve as the vigilant eyes and ears of tomb world operating systems, patrolling for intruders, inspecting for damage, and executing orders from larger Canoptek spider controllers via intricate interstitial interfaces.

Appearance and Abilities: These spectral constructs possess an unnerving serpentine, anti-gravitic form, allowing them to glide silently through the air. They are equipped with whip-like arms ending in lethal shrapnel blades, though they can also be armed with optional whip coils, particle casters, or transdimensional beamers. Their most iconic feature, besides their leering skull face, is their ability to phase through solid matter and terrain without pause. This allows them to bypass fortifications and surprise enemies.

Role and Tactics: Programmed with unfaltering resolve, Canoptek Wraiths typically operate with chilling silence. They report on intruders or perceived threats, often dismissed by unsuspecting foes as mere illusions, until they strike. Their primary combat role is to sow terror and disruption:

• Harassment: They swiftly move through enemy lines, targeting commanders, support troops, and supply lines to cripple the enemy's operational capacity.
• Guardianship: Within Necron tomb complexes, they are relentless guardians, maintaining systems and eliminating any perceived threat to the slumbering dynasties.
• Battlefield Terror: They haunt battlefields with their lethal weaponry and deathless purpose, appearing and disappearing at will, making them incredibly difficult to pin down.

"Wraith Form" Ability: A key aspect of their combat effectiveness is their "Wraith Form" ability, which allows them to phase through enemy units. As they move, they can inflict mortal wounds on any enemy unit they pass over (typically D6 mortal wounds per model on a 4+ roll).
