The Vile Vectorium encapsulates the slow, inexorable, and incredibly resilient nature of the Death Guard, bringing together some of their most iconic units.

This Battleforce typically includes the following units:

1x Lord of Virulence: A formidable HQ choice, armed with a plague spewer or twin plague reapers and a plague claw. He projects a powerful aura, usually granting re-rolls to hits for nearby Daemon Engines, making them even more deadly. He can also deep strike, bringing his blessings directly to the enemy's doorstep.

3x Deathshroud Terminators: These elite bodyguards are walking fortresses of putrid ceramite. Clad in Cataphractii Terminator armour and wielding huge manreapers, they are incredibly tough and hit like a truck in close combat. They also excel at protecting your Death Guard characters, often intercepting wounds meant for their leader.

7x Plague Marines: The iconic core of any Death Guard army. These resilient line troops are heavily armored, covered in festering wounds, and armed with a variety of disgusting weapons, from bolters to blight launchers, plague spewers, and great plague cleavers. They are incredibly difficult to shift from objectives and can dish out surprising amounts of damage.

1x Foul Blightspawn: A grotesque support character known for his noxious effluvia. Armed with a huge, backpack-mounted plague sprayer (known as a "Plague Censer"), he's devastating at close range. More importantly, he often has abilities that discourage enemies from charging nearby Death Guard units, making him a fantastic deterrent and defensive piece.

1x Myphitic Blight-Hauler: A delightful daemon engine, essentially a mini-tank that scuttles across the battlefield on three legs, armed with a multi-melta, missile launcher, and a host of Nurgle's contagions. It's relatively fast for a Death Guard unit and provides excellent anti-tank firepower, as well as an aura that grants cover saves to nearby infantry.

Overall Synergy and Playstyle

The Vile Vectorium promotes a classic Death Guard playstyle centered around a slow, inexorable advance, overwhelming resilience, and punishing close-quarters combat.

• Command & Protection: The Lord of Virulence leads the charge, potentially deep striking with his Deathshroud Terminators acting as his personal retinue and deadly melee escorts.
• Core Advance: The Plague Marines form the durable core, holding ground and advancing steadily, their varied weaponry making them adaptable to different threats.
• Defensive Support: The Foul Blightspawn slots in perfectly with the Plague Marines or Deathshroud, deterring charges and unleashing torrents of corrosive goo when enemies get too close.
