Exalted Eightbound are the elite shock troops and apex predators of the World Eaters Legion. They embody the absolute zenith of martial ferocity and daemonic power, stripped of all vestiges of humanity and reason, existing only to spill blood for the Blood God.

1. World Eaters Core: The journey to becoming Eightbound begins with a World Eater Chaos Space Marine, already a slave to the Butcher's Nails. These cranial implants drive them into a constant, agonizing state of berserk fury, craving violence and bloodshed above all else.
2. Daemonic Possession: For those World Eaters whose devotion to Khorne and lust for slaughter is so profound, the Blood God (or his most powerful daemons) bestows a "gift": the forcible possession by a powerful, rage-fueled Khornate daemon. Unlike generic Possessed, the daemon within an Eightbound is specifically attuned to Khorne's violent energies.
3. The "Eight": The name "Eightbound" is a direct reference to Khorne's sacred number eight. It signifies the depth of their devotion and the absolute nature of the daemonic bond.
4. Exalted Status: "Exalted Eightbound" represents an even more complete, stable, and powerful fusion than a regular Eightbound. This is likely due to an even more potent daemon, a host of unparalleled brutality, or a more intense ritual. The daemon's influence is more dominant, the mutations more extreme, and their destructive potential vastly increased. There is less internal struggle; the host's mind and the daemon's will are almost perfectly aligned in their pursuit of slaughter.

Exalted Eightbound are horrific to behold, even by the standards of Chaos:

• Grotesque Fusion: Their power armour and flesh are not just mutated, but utterly merged into a single, chitinous, muscle-bound mass. Ceramite plates distort, crack, and peel back to reveal raw, pulsating daemonflesh, bone spurs, and sinews.
• Khornate Mutations: Their mutations are specifically geared towards combat. Expect massive, bone-bladed claws, razor-sharp talons, powerful hoof-like feet, distended maws filled with fangs, and bulging, overdeveloped musculature. Horns and spikes erupt from their frames. They are often depicted with multiple arms, each ending in a brutal, natural weapon.
• Lack of Ranged Weapons: True to Khorne's dogma, they disdain ranged weapons. Their entire being is a weapon, designed for the most brutal, face-to-face engagements.
• Blood and Gore: Their bodies are often slick with gore, either their own, that of their enemies, or simply a manifestation of the daemon's bloodlust.
  
  
• Unending Rage: The combination of the Butcher's Nails and the Khornate daemon creates an unstoppable engine of pure, unadulterated rage. They feel no pain, no fear, and no self-preservation.
• Supernatural Prowess: They possess strength that can tear apart tanks, speed that lets them keep pace with charging vehicles, and resilience that shrugs off wounds that would fell a Daemon Prince. Their attacks are delivered with a flurry of brutal, ripping blows.
• Anti-Psyker (Iron Will): Like all World Eaters, their sheer mental fortitude against psychic manipulation is formidable, a side effect of the Butcher's Nails and Khorne's hatred for sorcery.
• No Free Will (Just Slaughter): Their minds are completely consumed by the daemon and the Nails. They exist solely to kill and mutilate in the name of Khorne, driven by an insatiable hunger for bloodshed.

Exalted Eightbound are the ultimate shock troops and melee specialists, designed for one purpose: to annihilate the enemy in brutal close combat.

• Line Breakers: They are thrown at the strongest points of the enemy's formation, expected to shatter lines and carve a bloody path through any resistance.
• Elite Infantry/Monster Hunters: Their incredible strength and number of attacks make them exceptional at tearing apart elite infantry, enemy characters, and even monstrous creatures and light vehicles.
• Rapid Assault: They often possess abilities to move faster, charge further, or even deep strike, ensuring they get into combat as quickly as possible.
• Unstoppable Momentum: Once engaged, they are nearly impossible to stop, their attacks compounding and their resilience holding firm as they wade through waves of foes.
