Skyweavers are the incredibly fast and agile jetbike cavalry of the Harlequins. They streak across the battlefield like flashes of impossible colour, weaving intricate patterns of death and destruction with their advanced vehicles and acrobatic pilots.

What they Are: Skyweavers are Harlequin warriors mounted on highly advanced, psychically-tuned jetbikes. Unlike the more pragmatic Windriders of the Craftworlds, Skyweavers combine the phenomenal speed and agility of Aeldari jetbikes with the bewildering close-combat prowess and psychological warfare tactics of the Harlequins. They are part of the "Grand Mon-Keigh Show," a terrifying and glorious performance on the battlefield.

Appearance:

• Harlequin Jetbikes: These are even more ornate and visually striking than standard Aeldari jetbikes. They are often painted in the vibrant, kaleidoscopic patterns of a Harlequin troupe, featuring diamond motfis and stark contrasts. They move with an impossible fluidity, almost like an extension of the rider's will.
• Acrobatic Riders: The Harlequin riders themselves are clad in the distinctive "Holosuits" that shimmer and shift colours, making them maddeningly difficult to target. They are incredibly limber, often performing death-defying stunts and acrobatics while their bikes are in motion, slashing with melee weapons or unleashing rapid bursts of fire.
• Masks of the Harlequin: Like all Harlequins, the Skyweavers wear the iconic masks, each designed to project a different emotion or expression, adding to the psychological disorientation of their foes.

Role & Purpose: Skyweavers excel at disruption, rapid flanking, and surgical strikes against enemy weak points. Their primary roles include:

• High-Speed Harassment: They are masters of the hit-and-run, closing in at blistering speed, unleashing a devastating volley or charge, and then pulling back before the enemy can properly retaliate.
• Flank Attacks: Their unparalleled speed allows them to quickly outmaneuver even other fast units, getting into the flanks and rear of enemy formations.
• Anti-Infantry & Anti-Light Vehicle: Equipped with a mix of ranged and melee weapons, they are highly effective at carving through infantry screens and tearing apart lightly armored vehicles.
• Disruption: By targeting key support units, causing morale checks, and creating chaos, they pave the way for other Harlequin units to strike.
• "The Show": For the Harlequins, every battle is a performance. Skyweavers are often key players in the opening acts, dazzling and disorienting the foe with their speed and spectacle.

Key Features & Abilities:

• Blistering Speed & Agility: Among the fastest units in the game, capable of covering vast distances and performing incredible maneuvers, often appearing to blur in and out of sight.
• Mirage Launchers: A signature defensive system. These devices generate distorting light patterns, holo-fields, and chaff, making Skyweavers notoriously difficult to hit with ranged attacks as their apparent position shifts erratically.
• Close Combat Prowess: Despite being jetbike riders, they are still Harlequins – deadly in melee.
  • Zephyrglaive: A long, two-handed polearm that the rider can sweep and thrust with incredible force and precision even from their speeding bike.
  • Star Bolas: Thrown weapons that explode with concussive force, ideal for disrupting formations or bringing down flying targets.
• Ranged Weaponry:
  • Shuriken Cannon: A rapid-fire weapon, excellent for shredding infantry.
  • Haywire Cannon: A specialized weapon designed to overload and disable enemy vehicle systems, often causing devastating damage.

Lore Significance: Skyweavers are an integral part of the Harlequin lore:

• Cegorach's Chosen: They represent the Laughing God's playful yet deadly nature, using misdirection and agility as primary weapons.
• The Webway: Their speed and mastery of the webway make them ideal vanguard units for Harlequin armies that can appear anywhere at a moment's notice.
• Psychological Warfare: Their kaleidoscopic appearance, acrobatic movements, and the menacing expressions of their masks are all part of a deliberate psychological assault on the enemy, designed to instill fear and confusion.
• Art of War: For the Harlequins, war is an art form, a dance, a terrifying play. Skyweavers are key performers in this macabre spectacle, weaving intricate death-dances across the battlefield.
