Hormagaunts are fast-moving, lightly armored Tyranid organisms designed for rapid assault and close combat. They are often the first wave of a Tyranid invasion, swarming over the battlefield to engage and overwhelm enemy forces. Their ability to move quickly and strike hard makes them a vital component of any Tyranid army.

Speed and Agility: Hormagaunts are among the fastest units in the Tyranid arsenal, capable of covering large distances in a single turn. This speed allows them to close the gap with enemy units quickly and engage in melee combat.

Close Combat Specialists: Armed with scything talons, Hormagaunts excel in close combat, dealing significant damage to enemy infantry and vehicles alike. Their high number of attacks can quickly overwhelm opponents.

Swarm Tactics: Hormagaunts are often deployed in large numbers, allowing them to swarm over enemies and create a tide of bio-matter that can be difficult to stop. Their ability to work together enhances their effectiveness in battle.


This multipart plastic kit builds 10 Hormagaunts, as well as a Ripper Swarm to expand your skittering tide. These aggressive creatures each feature different poses – some leaping, some stalking, and some lunging, as befits their predatory speed and role as close-quarters killers. These poses can be combined with a variety of different head designs, allowing you to keep your Hormagaunts looking varied no matter how big your swarm grows.

This kit comprises 68 plastic components, and comes with 10x Citadel 28.5mm Round Bases and a Citadel 40mm Round Base. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
